Damian Kindler is an Australian-born television writer, director and producer. He was born on May 31, 1968, in Melbourne, Australia. He emigrated to Toronto, Canada, when he was young and was raised there. He is most noted for his contributions to the ''Stargate SG-1'' and ''Stargate: Atlantis'' television series. He joined the ''Stargate'' production team at the start of ''Stargate SG-1's'' sixth season in 2002. Later he became a writer and producer for the series. In May 2007 Kindler launched the independent Canadian web series ''Sanctuary'', which was then picked up for television by The Movie Network in Canada and Syfy in the United States. The show lasted four seasons with Kindler serving as producer, writer and director. Kindler subsequently worked as writer and Executive Producer on ''Universal Soldier: The Series'' for FremantleMedia and is currently Co-Executive Producer and writer on the series ''Sleepy Hollow'' for the Fox Broadcasting Company.〔https://www.linkedin.com/uas/login〕 Kindler divides his time between Los Angeles and Vancouver, Canada. Kindler formerly played left wing for the Mighty Thunder, a North Vancouver rec hockey team, which he recently retired from.
